The Antofagasta Region has become an important pole of industry, innovation and trade, both because it has one of the largest ports in the country, its mining activity and currently the emerging renewable energy market. Antofagasta

Andrés Sabella Museum

Museum also known as the Andrés Sabella House of Culture, a cultural center located in the downtown sector of the city, which was designed by the architects Luigi Abd-el-Kader and Leonello Bottacci, and built by the architect Jaime Pedreny, who is located in the former building of the Illustrious Municipality of Antofagasta, which was named a National Historic Monument in 1999, giving way to a cultural center.

Casino Enjoy Antofagasta

Events center located in front of the Huanchaca Ruins, offers a variety of entertainment spaces, including restaurants, bars, casino and OVO Night Club. Its design was made by the architect Rodrigo Larraín Gálvez, simulating the shape of the ruins that are right in front.

Ruins of Huanchaca Museum

Museum located within the Huanchaca Cultural Park, a work created by the architects Ramón Coz, Marco Polidura, Eugenia Soto and Iñaki Volante, which has been in existence for 10 years, through exhibitions that address the regional heritage area, making visible the cultural and natural heritage of the Antofagasta region. Museum that also has five exhibition rooms, an auditorium and a corridor that has hosted various temporary and traveling exhibitions. Ruinas de Huanchaca Cultural Park, which has different units, such as the museum unit, amphitheater and the esplanades of the Ruinas de Huanchaca.

Exponor

International Exhibition Fair of technologies and innovations in the mining and energy industry, it is an event that takes place every two years in Antofagasta and that serves as a sample of the advances directed to the mining sector by a great variety of national companies and organizations. seeking to generate business opportunities nationally and internationally.

Regional Museum

Main museum of the city, located in the downtown sector, built in the old Customs and Maritime Government buildings, both declared National Monuments, located in the historic and foundational nucleus of Antofagasta, considered a typical area of the city and which has historical samples typical of the area and the Antofagasta Region.

Calama

The city of Calama with historic streets and great influence in the economic sphere, such as Calle Balmaceda, the main place that gives access to Mall Plaza Calama, one of the first shopping centers in the Antofagasta region, as well as the emblematic Paseo Ramírez, which has a pleasant shading, through a modern remodeling carried out, a promenade that has several commercial stores.

Atacama Desert Natural And Cultural History Museum

Museum is part of the Calama Culture and Tourism Corporation, registered in the Council of National Monuments, and a member of the Chilean Museum Network, which has a sample of the research in different fields of nature, science and culture in the Antofagasta region.

EL LOA PARK

Park located in the city of Calama, which shows the cultural development of the native people of the place, located in the southern access of the city, where you can see the historical architecture of the inland towns, in addition to having terraces, viewpoints, and an Archaeological and Ethnological Museum, where the typical architecture and crafts of the area are exhibited.

Archaeological Museum of Calama

Museum of the city of Calama, part of the Antofagasta region, which presents various samples of the Andean cultures, where its exhibits contemplate the periods of hunters and gatherers, covering the development of the Tiawanaku and Inca culture, until the Spanish conquest, in addition to the creation of the ancient populations of the region, which include crafts in volcanic stone, textiles, ceramics, copper and cactus.

San Pedro Atacama

San Pedro de Atacama is a Chilean commune located in the province of El Loa, in the Antofagasta Region, which has various urban tourist attractions, such as holding events in hotel rooms, wellness events, held by companies to their workers, congresses and sports events that give more life to the urban in the Atacama Desert.

Quillagua Museum

Museum located in Quillagua, an oasis in the Antofagasta region, where the remains of the first inhabitants of that community can be found, dated 230 AD, as well as a good collection of ceramic and basketwork objects, and many lithic artifacts, such as the case of projectile points, scrapers, hoe blades, among other historical pieces for the Antofagasta Region.

Augusto Capdeville Museum

Museum located in the commune of Taltal, part of the Antofagasta region, which bears the name of the Chilean archaeologist Augusto Capdeville and which began its operation in 2002, occupying the building of the Former Departmental Government, Department of Taltal, a building that was built in the year 1884, where archaeological, historical and botanical collections of the commune are currently housed.

Memory Museum

Collection that originated as the Anthropological Museum, founded in 1976 by Claudio Castellón G, followed by the creation of the Museo del Salitre in the building of the former Consolidated School, where pieces of ceramics, basketry, textiles, pottery and ornaments of the Atacamenian culture are installed in a section especially designed for conservation and display.

Pampino Toy Museum

Collection inaugurated in 2018 at Avenida Teniente Merino S/N, created by Hugo Aracena C. with the support of his family, Humberto Cortés and Miguel A. Ahumada. A place where the childhood of Pampas children is shown and narrated, through toys found in abandoned saltpeters and restored games, manufactured by their grandparents or parents and in some cases, replicas made by their founder, where infants can play and have fun with the toys on display.

Saltpeter Maria Elena Museum

Collection inaugurated in 2016, installed in the old building of the former Consolidated School “America” of María Elena, a heritage building dating from 1926, declared a National Historic Monument by Decree No. 400 of November 22, 1999, recovered and refurbished by the Illustrious Municipality of this nitrate center, after the earthquake of November 2007.
