Gastronomy A Universe of traditional and avant-garde flavors

Delight in the most diverse flavors is what the Antofagasta Region offers. On its coasts, marine flavors are combined with classics such as albacore, dorado, octopus and seafood that are served in mariscales, ceviches and empanadas.

In the gastronomic neighborhoods of the Antofagasta waterfront there is an infinite range of fusion and avant-garde dishes where Peruvian, Asian, Colombian and Brazilian food predominate, among others, and in its traditional dishes brought by the immigrants who formed the regional capital Croatian, Arabic, Spanish and Italian food is present.

Towards the interior there is a strong Bolivian and Peruvian influence, however, the predominant culture is the original culture with llama meat, corn, carrot, carob, quinoa and chañar that are the input of a range of dishes with a rustic touch, yet gourmet and modern.
